Moscow   — :  After Ukraine’s attack on June 1, Russia is now bent on taking revenge. Russia rained drones on Ukraine in the darkness of the night. The Ukrainian army has claimed that Russia launched more than 500 drones on it on Monday night. The Ukrainian Air Force said on Monday that Russia has carried out the biggest overnight drone bombing of the three-year war. In which it rained drones on Ukraine and also fired missiles. Russia has done this retaliation to take revenge for Operation Spiderweb.

There is no way out for a ceasefire between the two countries. Even amidst the difficulties of ceasefire, both of them exchanged another batch of prisoners of war on Monday, but after this Russia once again attacked Ukraine and rained drones.

Revenge for Operation Spiderweb?

Russia is currently bent on taking revenge from Ukraine. In fact, Ukraine has recently carried out such an attack on Russia in which it has caused heavy damage to Russia’s power. Ukraine fired more than 100 Ukrainian drones on Russia on June 1. In this attack, Ukraine targeted Russia’s nuclear-capable long-range bombers. Ukraine named this attack Spiderweb.

The Russian Defense Ministry had said that the attacks were carried out on five regions of Russia – Murmansk, Irkutsk, Ivanovo, Ryazan and Amur – but said that the planes were damaged only in Murmansk and Irkutsk, while attacks in other places were thwarted. Now Russia is taking revenge for this attack.

Russia rained drones

According to the Air Force, apart from 479 drones, Russia fired 20 missiles in many parts of Ukraine from Sunday to Monday, saying that the barrage mainly targeted the central and western regions. After the biggest attack at night, Ukraine said that it faced Russia’s attack equally and intercepted many drones. The Ukrainian Air Force said that its Air Force intercepted and destroyed 277 drones and 19 missiles. Ukraine claimed that only 10 drones or missiles hit their targets. Officials said that a Ukrainian man was injured in this attack by Russia.

Ukraine is also retaliating

Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky said late Sunday night that in some areas, “the situation remains very difficult”. Before the Russian attack, Ukraine attacked Russian military bases on June 6. At night, the Ukrainian army targeted Russia’s Engels and Dyagilevo airports, where Russian bombers are deployed. Ukraine called it a pre-emptive attack. In this attack, a Russian MI-8 helicopter was completely destroyed and an MI-35 helicopter was damaged. Apart from this, Ukraine also attacked fuel depots and military bases in Saratov and Ryazan regions of Russia.

Regarding this attack, Ukraine claims that it carried out these attacks to weaken Russia’s military resources so that Russian air strikes could be stopped.

Russian officials have said that the recent attacks are a retaliation to Ukraine’s drone attacks on those airports.

Peace talks are going on between the two countries continuously

Steps are being taken to calm the war going on between the two countries for the last three years. Two rounds of direct peace talks were held between Russian and Ukrainian delegations in Istanbul. After this dialogue, both the countries agreed to exchange prisoners as well as thousands of their dead and seriously injured soldiers. Russian President Vladimir Putin has indicated that he will continue to fight until his conditions are met.

Prisoner exchange during the day, attack at night

Zelensky and the Russian Defense Ministry said that more prisoners were exchanged between the two countries on Monday, however, neither side said how many prisoners. How many prisoners were exchanged. Zelensky said that those who were exchanged included injured soldiers as well as people under the age of 25. But while prisoners are being exchanged between the two countries during the day, Russia attacked again at night.
