Ranveer Singh–starrer Dhurandhar has created history at the Indian box office, emerging as the highest-grossing Hindi film of all time in India and setting multiple new benchmarks in theatrical earnings.
According to box office figures, Dhurandhar has recorded a staggering ₹831.40 crore net collection in India, surpassing the previous Hindi-language record held by Pushpa 2: The Rule. The achievement marks a significant milestone for Hindi cinema, particularly as the film accomplished this feat through a single-language release.
On the global front, Dhurandhar has crossed ₹1,227 crore worldwide, placing it among the top-grossing Indian films ever. The film has also overtaken SS Rajamouli’s RRR in worldwide earnings, cementing its position in the all-time box office rankings.
What makes the success even more remarkable is that Dhurandhar achieved these numbers exclusively through its Hindi version, an unprecedented accomplishment in an era dominated by multilingual releases and pan-India dubbed formats.
Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar is a high-octane spy-action thriller that released theatrically on December 5, 2025. The film follows the story of Hamza, an Indian intelligence operative played by Ranveer Singh, who infiltrates terrorist and criminal networks operating out of Karachi.
The ensemble cast includes Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, and Arjun Rampal in key roles. While the film received mixed-to-positive critical reviews, performances, action choreography, and direction were widely praised. Some criticism was directed at its extended runtime of approximately three hours and thirty minutes.
Despite that, Dhurandhar has demonstrated extraordinary box office stamina, establishing itself as a landmark release in Hindi cinema history.
