BJP Government’s Announcement and Swaminathan’s Suggestions

Rahul Gandhi highlighted that the BJP government has announced to confer Bharat Ratna upon M.S. Swaminathan, but they are not willing to implement Swaminathan’s recommendations. While addressing the gathering at Kala Kendra Maidan, Rahul Gandhi emphasized that Swaminathan has stated in his report that farmers should be granted legal rights to Minimum Support Price (MSP), but the BJP government is not taking such measures.

Promise of MSP Guarantee

It is worth mentioning that Rahul Gandhi’s journey was supposed to commence from Ambikapur towards Balrampur district, but it was suddenly postponed. This delay was due to Rahul Gandhi and Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge having to depart for Delhi due to the ongoing farmers’ agitation in the capital.
