Putin to Release Russian Intelligence Spy Imprisoned in German Jail

Moscow : Russian President Vladimir Putin is preparing to release Vadim Krasikov, who worked for his security service FSB, in exchange for American journalist Ivan Gershkovich.

Krasikov is currently imprisoned in a German jail. He was sentenced to life imprisonment in 2019 for the murder of elected Chechen commander Zelimkhan. Krasikov arrived in a Berlin park on a bicycle wearing a mask and murdered the Chechen commander.

After this he threw his pistol and wig in a nearby river. The German Parliament is located in the building from where the police arrested him.
