President Putin hits out at Western record of centuries of colonialism, slave trade and plunder in India

Russian President Vladimir Putin has hit out at America’s use of nuclear weapons in the final days of World War II and then the Western record of centuries of “colonialism”, “slave trade” and “plunder in India”.

In his speech after the signing of treaties on the inclusion of four former Ukrainian territories in the Russian Federation, he stressed that Russia is ready for talks with Ukraine.

Targeting the US, he said it was the only country in the world to have used nuclear weapons twice, destroying the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

“Even today, they have actually captured Germany, Japan, the Republic of Korea and other countries, and at the same time called them equally allies,” he said.

“The West .. began its colonial policy in the Middle Ages, and then sided with the slave trade, the genocide of Indian tribes in America, the plundering of India, the plundering of Africa, the wars of England and France against China PLC/GT
