Moscow : The Russian President Putin has banned 12 high profile industrialists including Toyota chief from entering his country Russia. This ban has been imposed on Akio Toyoda, chairman of car manufacturing company Toyota, and 12 other senior Japanese industrialists after the recent move by Japan. Tokyo has strongly opposed this but the Russian Foreign Ministry has published the list.

This list includes Toyota chairman Akio Toyoda, Rakuten chief Hiroshi Mikitani and Japan International Cooperation Agency president Akihiko Tanaka. Japan has formed an alliance with a group of seven countries to ban Russia due to the war in Ukraine. This is also a reason.

Japan has emerged as a major ally of Ukraine and this has worsened relations between Russia and Japan.

According to media reports, the peace treaty talks were earlier suspended and later an entry ban was imposed on Japanese MPs including PM Fumio Kishida. According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, this decision is a response to the sanctions imposed by Japan against Russia in connection with the special military operation.

However, the ministry did not explain why those who were selected were selected and why the chiefs of major firms like Mitsubishi, Honda and Sony were not included in it.
