PM Modi left for his three-day America visit : know the Key Highlights and Expectation

Prime Minister Narendra Modi left for his three-day America visit on Saturday. During this visit, he will attend the annual ‘Quad’ summit and address the ‘Summit of the Future’ at the United Nations General Assembly. The Ministry of External Affairs had given information about his visit on Tuesday.

US President Joe Biden met Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese in Wilmington, Delaware on September 20. The President thanked the Prime Minister for his partnership and talked about the progress made in strengthening bilateral relations since Albanese’s official visit to Washington, DC last October. Both emphasized that the US-Australia alliance remains the core of bilateral relations. Growing cooperation in its three pillars of defense and security, economic, climate and clean energy is an example of this.

At the UN’s ‘Summit of the Future’, India said that adopting a sustainable lifestyle can address many challenges posed by climate change and global success is more likely if affordable solutions are offered. Addressing the summit in New York , Secretary in the Union Environment Ministry Leela Nandan also said that discussions on climate change often focus only on emission reduction, but if we offer affordable solutions, not just impose decisions, we are more likely to succeed. The Future Summit brings together world leaders, policymakers and other stakeholders to discuss global challenges and strengthen multilateral cooperation to tackle emerging threats.

Preparations are underway at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Long Island, New York. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the Indian diaspora here during a community event on September 22 during his three-day US visit. Michelle Griffin, director on the agenda of the Future Summit, said that the aim of this summit is to really restore trust and the functioning of international cooperation. So, we are looking at how we work together globally so that we can deliver on all the promises that we have already made, all the goals that we have already set for ourselves, but we are also looking at all the challenges and risks and opportunities that are going to come in the future and trying to make sure that the United Nations and other key organizations of international cooperation are prepared for those challenges.

On this US visit, PM Modi will attend the ‘Quad Leaders Summit’ in Wilmington, Delaware on September 21. PM Modi will also address the Indian community in New York on September 22. Prime Minister Modi will address the ‘Summit of the Future’ on 23 September at the United Nations General Assembly in New York. In this, leaders of different countries will come on one platform and create a new international consensus on how to make the present better and the future safer. The Prime Minister will hold bilateral meetings with many world leaders and discuss issues of mutual interest. These mainly include US President Joe Biden, Australian PM Anthony Albanese and Japanese PM Fumio Kishida. Along with this, he will discuss regional security and cooperation in the Indo-Pacific.
