Prime Minister Narendra Modi will make his first visit to his parliamentary constituency of Varanasi on Tuesday after being elected as Prime Minister for the third consecutive term. During this visit, the Prime Minister will participate in the Kisan Samman Sammelan, where he will disburse the 17th installment of the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi, providing more than ₹20,000 crores to 9.26 crore beneficiary farmers.

The Prime Minister will spend 55 minutes at the ghat, including 15 minutes dedicated to Ganga Poojan and positioning himself on the Modi Mani. The remaining 40 minutes will be devoted to observing the Aarti, conducted by renowned astrologer Pt. Chandramouli Upadhyay and nine priests. The event will be accentuated by the presence of 18 young girls representing Riddhi-Siddhi.

Elaborate Decorations for the Ganga Aarti

The Dashashwamedh Ghat will be adorned with 10 quintals of flowers, transforming the site into a visually spectacular setting. Sunflowers, tuberoses, jasmine, and marigolds will be sourced from Uttarakhand and Kolkata, ensuring a vibrant and fragrant atmosphere. The entire ghat will glow with the light of countless lamps, creating an ethereal ambiance for the Aarti.

Honor and Gifts for the Prime Minister

Following the Ganga Aarti, Prime Minister Modi will be honored with a Rudraksha mala and a special offering of red peda as prasad. He will also receive a commemorative plaque featuring an image of Maa Ganga, a symbol of the Aarti, and a portrait of himself, encapsulating the sanctity of the occasion.

Inauguration of Nalanda University Campus

The Prime Minister’s visit extends beyond Varanasi. On June 19, at 9:45 AM, he will tour the ruins of Nalanda in Bihar, followed by the inauguration of the new Nalanda University campus in Rajgir at 10:30 AM. This campus, envisioned as a collaborative effort between India and the East Asia Summit (EAS) countries, represents a significant milestone in educational infrastructure.

Features of the New Nalanda University Campus

The new Nalanda University campus boasts two academic blocks, each containing 40 classrooms, accommodating up to 1,900 students. Additionally, the campus includes two auditoriums with a seating capacity of 300 each.
