The Government of India, along with state governments, runs numerous welfare schemes to support citizens across the country. Among these, Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) Yojana is one of the most prominent schemes for farmers, offering financial assistance to help them meet agricultural and household needs.
Under this scheme, eligible farmers receive ₹6,000 annually, disbursed in three installments of ₹2,000 each. This year, the 21st installment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana is expected to be released, and reports suggest it may come before Diwali.
How Much Will Farmers Receive in the 21st Installment?
Farmers registered under the PM Kisan scheme will receive ₹2,000 as part of the 21st installment. This follows the standard installment pattern, with three installments released per year directly into beneficiaries’ bank accounts via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
When Is the 21st PM Kisan Installment Likely to Be Released?
So far, 20 installments have been released, with the 20th installment credited on August 2nd. Traditionally, PM-KISAN installments are released every four months, which would make the 21st installment due in November.
However, media reports indicate a possible early release before Diwali. The reasons for this early disbursement include:
Festival Support: The government may want to give farmers extra financial assistance during Diwali.
Crop Loss Relief: Extensive rains have damaged crops in regions from Jammu to Punjab, prompting early support to affected farmers.
Farmers are advised to keep checking official PM-Kisan portals or their bank accounts for confirmation of the installment release.
