OTT Releases September 2025: The first week of September is going to be a treat for entertainment lovers. Popular OTT platforms like Netflix, Prime Video, ZEE5 and Jio Hotstar are set to release new movies and web series. From Wednesday Season 2 to Inspector Jhande, the lineup includes horror, crime, drama, and romance. Here’s the full streaming guide for September 1–7.


Wednesday Season 2

The popular horror series Wednesday is back with its second season. The first part was released in August, and now the second part with two fresh episodes will stream on Netflix from September 03.

Aankhon Ki Gustakhiyaan

Vikrant Massey and Shanaya Kapoor’s romantic drama Aankhon Ki Gustakhiyaan is arriving on OTT after its theatrical release in July. Marking Shanaya’s debut, the film will stream on ZEE5 from September 05.

Malik

Rajkummar Rao and Manushi Chhillar star in the crime-thriller Malik, which was released in theatres on July 11. The film will now be available on Prime Video from September 05.

Inspector Jhande

Manoj Bajpayee takes on the role of Madhukar Bapurao Jhande, a tough cop chasing a dangerous killer played by Jim Sarbh. Inspector Jhande will release on Netflix from September 05.

Junior

South Indian film Junior, starring Keerthi Reddy, Srileela, and Genelia Deshmukh, is ready for its OTT debut. The film will stream on Prime Video from September 05.

The Paper & Task

International content is also lined up this week. American web series The Paper, created by Greg Daniel and Michael Koman, will release on Jio Hotstar from September 05. Hollywood actor Mark Ruffalo’s much-awaited crime drama Task will follow on September 07, also on Jio Hotstar.


From horror thrillers to romantic dramas and international series, this week’s OTT releases promise non-stop entertainment. Netflix, Prime Video, ZEE5, and Jio Hotstar are all set to keep audiences glued to their screens throughout the first week of September.
