On Saturday, North Korea tested its largest cruise missile warhead and an anti-aircraft missile in its western coastal area. Amidst increasing tensions with America and South Korea, North Korea is rapidly increasing its military capabilities and has also conducted several missile tests recently.
North Korea’s state media reported that on Friday it conducted a ‘power test’ of the warhead prepared for the ‘Hwasal-1 Ra-3’ strategic cruise missile and also tested the ‘Pyolji-1-2’ anti-aircraft missile. . Pictures released by North Korea’s government news agency clearly show that two missiles are being fired from a launcher truck. The news also said that the test conducted on Friday was part of North Korea’s military development activities and has nothing to do with the surrounding situation.
There has been a lot of tension on the Korean Peninsula in the last few years amid increasing tensions with America and South Korea. North Korean leader Kim Jong is making efforts to increase the arsenal of weapons and Kim Jong says that this arsenal also includes some missiles that are capable of targeting American targets in the American and Pacific regions. The US, South Korea and Japan have also expanded their joint military training amid North Korea’s preparations.
