No talks with Pakistan, elimination of terrorism is the first priority: Amit Shah

Union Home Minister Amit Shah, while addressing an election rally in Nowshera, Jammu and Kashmir, has given a strong message to Pakistan. In this rally, Shah targeted Pakistan and terrorism and said that there will be no talks with Pakistan until terrorism is eradicated. He said that if we have to talk, we will talk to the lions of Nowshera, not Pakistan. Shah reiterated his resolve to hoist the tricolor in Kashmir and stressed that only the tricolor will fly in Kashmir now.

It is worth noting that in this election rally organized in support of Bharatiya Janata Party’s Jammu and Kashmir unit president Ravinder Raina, Union Minister Amit Shah has made sharp attacks on Congress, National Conference and PDP. Targeting Farooq Abdullah, he said that Abdullah is talking about terrorism re-emerging in Jammu, but the Modi government is committed to eradicate terrorism from its roots. Shah said that we will bury terrorism in the netherworld. No terrorist or stone-pelter will be released.

Shah also criticised the Congress and the National Conference on the issue of reservation. He supported the decision to grant reservation to the Pahari and Gujjar Bakarwal communities, saying that for 70 years the Congress, NC and PDP had deprived the Paharis of reservation. Shah promised that the reservation of the Gujjar Bakarwal community will not be reduced under any circumstances.

Accusing the Congress and the National Conference of disrespecting the tricolour, Shah said that now only the tricolour will fly in Jammu and Kashmir. He launched a scathing attack on Farooq Abdullah, saying that when Kashmir was burning in the fire of terrorism, Abdullah was holidaying in London. The Modi government has taken concrete steps to crush terrorism, and is now committed to bringing back peace and stability in Kashmir. ( PLC & GT )
