New Delhi, November 17:
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted no rainfall for the next six days, extending until November 23, a development that is expected to worsen the ongoing smog crisis across Delhi-NCR. With calm winds, dropping night temperatures, and persistent pollution sources, experts warn that the air quality may deteriorate further in the coming days.
Despite GRAP-III restrictions already in force—covering construction bans, dust control measures, and limits on polluting vehicles—the overall pollution load remains high. Meteorologists caution that without regional action on stubble burning, improvement in the air quality is unlikely.
