New Delhi, India | November 16, 2025:
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) launched coordinated raids across three states on Sunday as part of the ongoing investigation into the blast near Delhi’s Red Fort. The powerful explosion, which triggered security alerts across the capital, has prompted the anti-terror agency to widen its probe into suspected extremist networks.
Sources confirmed that the NIA is examining possible connections to Al-Falah University and several other locations identified during preliminary intelligence assessments. Digital devices, documents, and electronic records were reportedly seized during the raids.
Security around historical and high-footfall public areas had been tightened immediately after the blast. However, with no further threats detected, the Red Fort Metro Station has now reopened, restoring normal services for commuters and tourists.
Investigators are analyzing forensic evidence from the blast site, while teams continue to track leads pointing to potential radicalization and recruitment activity linked to domestic and cross-border networks. The Ministry of Home Affairs is being briefed regularly on developments.
