Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) Chairman and Managing Director Mukesh Ambani on Sunday outlined his vision for New India’s energy future, saying the country is poised to lead the world in providing abundant, affordable, and clean energy.
Speaking at a book launch event in Mumbai, Ambani highlighted India’s growing potential in green energy and emphasized the role of innovation, self-reliance, and youth aspirations in shaping the nation’s future.
🌱 India on the Brink of an Energy Transformation
Ambani said India is nearing a decisive moment in its journey toward energy self-sufficiency, particularly through advances in solar power.
“We are very close to solving local energy challenges,” Ambani said. “Solar energy will no longer be limited to just four hours of fuel. It can be used to solve problems India has faced for decades.”
Challenging traditional perceptions of renewable energy, he stressed that technological progress now allows solar power to be deployed on a much larger and more reliable scale.
🌍 Reliance to Set Global Benchmark
Outlining Reliance’s future roadmap, Ambani said the company aims to serve not only India but also large parts of the world by demonstrating how green and clean energy can be made widely available at affordable prices.
“We will show the path to making green and clean energy abundant and economical,” he said, positioning Reliance as a global model for sustainable energy solutions.
🏭 Remembering Dhirubhai Ambani’s Vision
Reflecting on the company’s origins, Ambani recalled Reliance founder Dhirubhai Ambani, emphasizing that improving the quality of life for Indians was always at the core of the group’s mission.
“My father founded Reliance with one purpose — to improve India’s standard of living. India and Indians must move forward. That was Reliance’s goal,” he said.
🇮🇳 Faith in ‘New India’ and Its Youth
Ambani described present-day India as a “New India”, driven by ambition, innovation, and opportunity. He expressed confidence in the country’s youth, noting that millions of dreams are now being realized domestically.
“This New India is full of young people who dare to dream, and today, countless dreams are turning into reality right here in India,” he said.
