Monday proved to be a challenging day at the Indian box office, with most films witnessing a noticeable drop in collections after the weekend rush. While ‘Dhurandhar’ and ‘Avatar: Fire and Ash’ managed to hold their ground, ‘Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri’ and ‘Anaconda’ saw sharp declines in earnings.
Currently running in theaters are Bollywood releases ‘Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri’ and ‘Dhurandhar’, alongside Hollywood titles ‘Avatar: Fire and Ash’ and ‘Anaconda’. As expected on a weekday, collections dipped across the board, with Bollywood films continuing to outperform Hollywood releases in the domestic market.
Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri
Starring Kartik Aryan and Ananya Panday, the romantic drama saw a steep fall after the weekend. The film collected ₹1.75 crore on Monday, compared to ₹5 crore on Sunday. Its five-day total now stands at ₹25.25 crore, reflecting a slowdown in momentum.
Avatar: Fire and Ash
Despite a post-weekend drop, James Cameron’s Hollywood blockbuster maintained a firm hold at the box office. The film earned ₹4.75 crore on its second Monday, down from ₹10.75 crore on the second Sunday. Its 11-day total collection has reached ₹142.65 crore, making it the strongest Hollywood performer currently in cinemas.
Dhurandhar
Bollywood’s big-ticket release ‘Dhurandhar’ continued its impressive run even on weekdays. The film earned ₹10.50 crore on its fourth Monday, after collecting ₹22.5 crore on Sunday. According to Sacnilk, the film has amassed a massive ₹701 crore in 25 days, reinforcing its blockbuster status.
Anaconda
Hollywood film ‘Anaconda’ struggled significantly post-weekend. The movie earned just ₹35 lakh on Monday, a steep drop from ₹1.05 crore on Sunday. Its total collection now stands at ₹4.85 crore, indicating weak audience traction.
Overall, Monday collections highlighted a clear trend: strong content-driven Bollywood films continue to outperform Hollywood titles, even during weekday slowdowns.
