Taking another giant stride towards its vision of academic excellence and continuous innovation and help its students showcase their talent at a global stage and learn from the best in the business, MDI Gurgaon signed a dual degree Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ESCP Europe at Gurugram based campus on Wednesday 18 April, 2018.This pact becomes important in view of the recent India visit by the French President, Emmanuel Macron. This partnership of equals in education industry will bolster management education and create global business leaders.
Through this international collaboration, MDI students will spend first year in MDI and second year in ESCP Europe. At the end of their academic years, the student will be entitled to get dual degrees – the MDI Post Graduate Diploma in International Management (PGPIM) and the ESCP Masters in Management (MIM). Like the International Management Programme of MDI, the MIM Programme at ESCP Europe is equally reckoned world-wide and aims at developing the next generation of international business leaders to embrace global opportunities. The MIM program at ESCP Europe is ranked 6th in entire Europe by Financial Times.
Established in 1819, ESCP Europe is the oldest business school in the world. Its mission is to develop the next generation of transnational business leaders, preparing them to embrace the opportunities offered by cultural diversity. The prestigious B-School has its urban campuses in six major European cities namely, Berlin, London, Madrid, Paris, Torino and Warsaw. ESCP Europe’s true European Identity enables the provision of a unique style of cross-cultural business education and a Global Perspective on international management issues.
On this historic occasion of coming together of two institutions from East and West, Prof. Leon Laulusa, Executive Vice-President, Dean for Academic Affairs and International Relations at ESCP Europe shared “this collaboration with our flagship programme will emphasize on mutual recognition of degrees, blended learning and cultural integration. Our partnership with globally acclaimed MDI is one such initiative whereby students will benefit from an Indian and a foreign degree both.”
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Himadri Das, Director, MDI, said, “The two schools are the pioneers in higher business education industry and together we will work on an ambitious growth plan. This watershed event will create the trend for schools to follow. We can grow faster as our partnership grows”.
The ceremony was attended by Prof. Jyoti Gupta, Professor of Finance at ESCP Europe who is involved with teaching and research activities at both the London and Paris campuses of ESCP Europe. Also present were Prof. S Chatterjee, Dean – International Relations, MDI and Prof. Avinash Kapoor, Chairperson, International Relations MDI.
