Bengaluru, December 26, 2025
Kiccha Sudeep’s much-anticipated film Mark has registered a solid opening at the box office, delivering impressive morning show numbers across Karnataka despite being a non-holiday release.
According to Sacnilk statistics, Mark recorded a notable 62.06 percent overall occupancy in morning shows on Day 1, indicating strong initial audience interest. Early trends suggest particularly robust turnout in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, where star-driven films often show consistent momentum.
Directed by Vijay Karthikeya and co-produced by Kichcha Creations and Sathya Jyothi Films, the film appears to be benefiting from Kiccha Sudeep’s loyal fan base along with aggressive pre-release promotions. On its opening day, Mark collected an estimated ₹6.28 crore, marking a healthy start.
Bengaluru Leads With Strong Turnout
As expected, Bengaluru emerged as the biggest contributor in terms of show count, with screenings beginning as early as 4:54 AM. Despite intense competition and a wide range of viewing options, the city posted a respectable 59 percent occupancy in morning shows.
Industry observers consider crossing the 50 percent mark in a metro like Bengaluru a positive indicator, suggesting attendance beyond just core fans and extending to casual moviegoers.
Steady Performance Across Regional Centers
Several regional hubs reported consistent occupancy levels. Hubballi recorded 58 percent occupancy across 22 shows, while Raichur saw 57 percent occupancy from seven screenings. Belagavi registered a balanced 50 percent, reflecting an average-to-good opening response.
Coastal and university-town markets showed moderate traction. Mangaluru and Kalaburagi reported 40 percent occupancy, while Manipal stood at 43 percent. While slightly lower than peak centers, these figures still indicate a stable start, especially considering these are only morning shows and word-of-mouth is yet to fully kick in.
Opening Momentum Looks Promising
Morning show performance is widely regarded as a key indicator of a film’s opening-day momentum. With strong early numbers and steady turnout across Karnataka, Mark appears well-positioned to build further through afternoon and evening shows over the weekend.
