New Delhi : Kawad Yatra in 2023 will start on July 4th and continue until August 31st. This year, the month of Sawan will be of two months instead of one due to the occurrence of Adhikamas, making it an important time for devotees. During the Kanwad Yatra, devotees undertake a pilgrimage to bring holy water from the Ganges River and offer it to Lord Shiva. The journey is filled with devotion, bhajans (devotional songs), mantras, and religious rituals.
During this month, the echo of Shiva’s praises reverberates in everyone’s heart.
The whole atmosphere also becomes Shivamaya, Kavad Yatra is considered a very special time in the holy month of Sawan. Kavad Yatra has special significance in Sawan. This year also the importance of Kanwar Yatra is going to be very high.
Kanwad will have special importance
This year, in 2023, Sawan will be of two months, not one, because this time will be the time of Adhikamas, for this reason this time is going to be important. The month of Sawan is considered very auspicious for the devotees of Shiva. The journey of the devotees will start from 4th July. Due to two months of Sawan this year, the Kavad Yatra will start from July 4 and continue till August 31. Everyone will also get more time to worship Lord Shiva and please him. There will be plenty of time to bring Kavand from Ganga and please God.
