Delhi High Court Grants Protective Order on Jr NTR Personality Rights

New Delhi, India | December 30, 2025

Several actors are increasingly approaching the courts to protect their personality rights, especially in the age of digital exploitation. On Monday, the Delhi High Court issued a protective order in favor of South superstar Jr NTR, offering legal safeguards over the use of his name, image, voice, and likeness.

The order was passed while hearing Jr NTR’s petition related to the protection of his personality rights. The court’s decision aims to prevent unauthorized commercial and digital misuse, ensuring stronger control over his public identity in the evolving digital landscape.

Following the order, Jr NTR expressed his gratitude to the Delhi High Court through a post on X (formerly Twitter). He thanked the court for recognizing and protecting his personality rights, calling the order crucial in today’s digital era.

In his statement, the actor also acknowledged the legal support provided by Supreme Court advocates Dr. Balajanki Srinivasan and Dr. Alka Dakkar, along with Mr. Rajendra and the Rights & Marks team, for their assistance in securing the order.

Growing Trend of Celebrity Personality Rights Cases

Jr NTR is not the only celebrity to receive legal relief in such cases. Over the past few years, Indian courts have granted similar protection to several prominent actors, including Akshay Kumar, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, and Chiranjeevi. Many other actors are also filing petitions to safeguard their identity from misuse across digital platforms, advertisements, and artificial intelligence–driven content.

Jr NTR’s Career Update

On the professional front, Jr NTR was last seen in ‘Devara: Part One’, released last year. In 2025, he made his Bollywood debut with ‘War 2’, starring alongside Hrithik Roshan. While he continues to dominate South Indian cinema, his presence in Hindi films has further expanded his pan-India appeal.
