Israel Strikes Iran: Retaliation After 25 Days

Tel Aviv and Tehran – After a 25-day interval, Israel has launched a counterattack against Iran, targeting the capital, Tehran, along with three other cities. The strikes focused on Iranian military installations as well. Notably, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was directly overseeing the operations, accompanied by Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant.

The escalation followed an attack by Iran on Israel on October 1. In response, Israel resumed flights after a temporary halt in air traffic due to its earlier closure of Iranian airspace. Reports indicate that Israel sent a message to Iran right before the strikes, warning them not to react aggressively as the attacks commenced.

During the operation, Netanyahu was present at the Tel Aviv Defense Headquarters, actively monitoring the situation. Additionally, Israel informed U.S. President Joe Biden about the assault, with Netanyahu providing a briefing regarding the attack on Iran. Even now, sirens continue to sound in Tehran in the aftermath of the Israeli strikes.
