The war between Israel and Hamas has been going on for more than a year. At the same time, the flames of this war have reached Lebanon and Iran. Meanwhile, attacks have intensified once again. Israel carried out an air strike targeting central Beirut in the early hours of Saturday. Security sources said, Israel launched an offensive against the Iran-backed Hezbollah group. The Lebanese capital was badly shaken by the powerful attack. Eyewitnesses said that several powerful explosions took place in Beirut at around four in the morning. Two security sources said that at least four rockets were fired in the attack.

The sound of sirens could be heard as ambulances reached the blast site in the Basta area of Beirut. Footage released by media channels showed at least one destroyed building and several others badly damaged. This was the fourth Israeli airstrike targeting the central area of Beirut this week. On Sunday, a senior Hezbollah media official was killed in an Israeli airstrike in the Ras al-Nabaa district.

Israel attacked in retaliation. Meanwhile, Lebanon’s organization Hezbollah also attacked Israel with missiles and drones in the past few days. There has been a war-like situation between Hezbollah and Israel for the last 11 months. On the other hand, the Israeli Defense Minister says that this is the first phase of the war.
