The sound of sirens could be heard as ambulances reached the blast site in the Basta area of Beirut. Footage released by media channels showed at least one destroyed building and several others badly damaged. This was the fourth Israeli airstrike targeting the central area of Beirut this week. On Sunday, a senior Hezbollah media official was killed in an Israeli airstrike in the Ras al-Nabaa district.
