During the primary investigation behind the deadly attack on former Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Badal at Sri Harimandir Sahib, the police have received inputs related to Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) and Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI. A senior officer investigating the case said that this attack on Sukhbir has been done to promote the intention of separatism, so that not only the peace of the state can be disturbed, but through this attack, the ideology of fundamentalists, Khalistani and separatism can be shown to be dominant.
If sources are to be believed, CM Mann had sought a report from DGP Gaurav Yadav on this incident by evening. In the primary report, apart from the incidents of sacrilege that took place during the Akali government, it is also being linked to the revenge of the incidents of filing false cases against the youth and putting them behind bars.
The 9 mm pistol recovered from Chowda is also being investigated. Khalistani terrorist Narayan Singh Chaura was seen roaming around Harimandir Sahib by the police for the last two days. During this time, Chaura has been continuously doing recce of Sukhbir Singh Badal. The footage of this has also been seized by the police. The police is investigating the CCTV footage installed around Harimandir Sahib.
