Iranian MP Warns Trump to “Order Coffins” After U.S. Strikes

Middle East – : A senior Iranian lawmaker warned that President Donald Trump should prepare for American troop casualties following U.S. airstrikes on Iran’s key nuclear facilities, escalating tensions between the two countries.

Qasem Ravanbakhsh, a member of Iran’s parliament representing Qom province, made the comment after Trump confirmed that U.S. military forces struck Fordow, Isfahan, and Natanz—locations central to Iran’s nuclear enrichment program. The strikes were announced first on Truth Social, followed by a televised address where Trump claimed the attacks had “obliterated” Iran’s ability to develop nuclear weapons.

“Trump should order mass production of coffins for his troops,” Ravanbakhsh said in an official statement to Tasnim News Agency, a semi-official outlet in Iran. The MP accused the  U.S. president of spreading misinformation about the extent of the damage.

According to Ravanbakhsh, the Fordow facility—a heavily fortified underground site—remains intact. “The damage to the Fordow facilities is not as great as the American media and the criminal Trump are saying. The underground facilities have not been damaged,” he said.

He added that the world should be assured that Iran’s nuclear knowledge remains untouched, despite U.S. claims of disabling the program. “These crimes cannot destroy Iran’s nuclear capabilities,” he stated.

Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi also condemned the airstrikes, describing them as “outrageous” and labeling the U.S. attack a war crime. In a statement posted on social media, Araghchi said the strikes violated international law, the UN Charter, and the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT).

“The United States, a permanent member of the United Nations Security Council, has committed a grave violation of the UN Charter,” he wrote. “This act of aggression will have everlasting consequences, and Iran reserves all options to defend its sovereignty, interest, and people.”

The remarks follow a major escalation in the Middle East after the U.S. joined Israel’s military campaign against Iran’s nuclear infrastructure, which has already drawn criticism and raised global concerns over a widening regional conflict.
