Daljit Thind, one of the top Indo-Canadian developers in Vancouver, has seen his profile slowly rise, beginning with the announcement of his two big high rise projects in Vancouver, followed by his partnership with Time of India Film Awards (TOIFA) earlier this year tha traised his profile globally, including in India.
Now he gets local mainstream recognition with a profile in Business In Vancouver, which is great for Thind but also generally good for all Indo-Canadians doing well in business in greater Vancouver. There may be more mainstream recognition in store for Thind, who studied in Punjab to be a pharmacist but who decided to embark on a career as a developer in Canada after the usual hassles immigrants face of their credential recognition. “Nice-guy” Thind, who has$300 million worth of real estate on the drawing board in Metro Vancouver and is considering embarking on projects in India, may even make Vancouver Magazine’s annual Power 50 List next year.
