Airlines across the country continue to receive bomb threats. On Saturday, more than 30 planes received bomb threats in a single day. Due to these threats, an atmosphere of panic spreads among the passengers. They also have to face inconvenience.

Meanwhile, Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) Director General Zulfiqar Hasan has said a big thing. He said that fake bomb threats will be curbed as soon as possible. Indian skies are completely safe. Passengers should travel without any fear.

Security agencies engaged in investigation

An important meeting of airline companies was held at BCAS headquarters in Delhi on Saturday. The airline companies put forth their problems in front of BCAS Director General Zulfiqar Hasan. A long discussion took place on the issue of continuous threats. Representatives of the companies said that there may be congestion at the airport due to bomb threats during the festive season. BCAS said that they are working with the security agencies. Soon we will reach the root causes.

Passengers also troubled by threats

Due to continuous bomb threats, airlines are facing problems in operating normally. Representatives also said that the continuous threats have put a lot of burden on airlines, security forces and passengers. In the last one week, more than 70 planes have received bomb threats. Five flights each of Spice Jet and Air Asia received bomb threats. All these threats turned out to be fake in the investigation.

Center preparing to amend the law

Meanwhile, the government has also come on alert mode due to these threats. The Civil Aviation Ministry is in touch with several other ministries. Discussions are going on between these ministries regarding necessary amendments in the law. A committee will be formed in consultation with the Law and Home Ministries. This committee will draft amendments in the Aircraft Act- 1934 and Aircraft Rules- 1937 and other laws. Its objective is to give five years of punishment and put them in the no-fly list to those who give fake bomb threats.
