India has launched ‘Operation Sadbhav’ for Myanmar, Vietnam and Laos countries affected by typhoon “Yagi” originating from the South China Sea. Indian Naval Ship Satpura on Sunday left to undertake humanitarian assistance and disaster relief operations in response to the devastating floods in Myanmar.
Air Force C-17 aircraft have taken off to deliver relief material to the people affected by the devastating floods.
India has decided to deliver relief material to the countries affected by cyclone Yagi. Indian Naval Headquarters has deployed Eastern Fleet ship INS Satpura with relief material to provide immediate assistance to the flood-affected citizens of Myanmar. The Indian Navy is known for providing relief and rescue operations first in times of trouble to maritime neighbors. In view of this, 10 tonnes of assistance including dry ration, clothes and medicines have been dispatched on Sunday on Indian Navy’s INS Satpura.
India has deployed Indian Air Force C-17 aircraft for operations in Cambodia (Vientiane, Laos) and Vietnam (Hanoi) following the devastating floods caused by Typhoon Yagi.
Indian Air Force Vietnam aircraft are carrying 35 tonnes of relief material, which includes water purification materials, water containers, blankets, kitchen utensils, solar lanterns. Apart from this, 10 tonnes of aid is being sent to Laos, which includes gensets, water purification materials, hygiene materials, mosquito nets, blankets and sleeping bags. ( PLC & GT )
