Vinod Khosla
We all know about Vinod Khosla, he is a billionaire American businessman who made his fortune as one of the co-founders of Sun Microsystems, a company which gave the world the Java programming language and Network File System (NFS). In 2004, he launched his venture capital firm, Khosla Ventures. He attended Mount St. Marys High School in Delhi and is an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (Bachelor of Technology in Electrical Engineering).
Sanjay Sethi
Sanjay is an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi who co-founded Shopclues and brought about a change in the e-commerce business in India.In January 2016, Shopclues joined India’s unicorn club by raising about $150 million from Singapore government’s GIC and its existing investors, Tiger Global and Nexus Venture Partners. This feat was very impressive for a 4-year old company fighting out for a chunk of the buzzing e-commerce market in India.
Sameer Gehlaut
Sameer Gehlaut is the Founder of the Indiabulls Group, one of the highest dividend and tax paying groups of the country and one of India’s leading diversified conglomerates with presence in consumer finance, housing finance,and broking business through independent public companies. He started the country's first online trading platform in 1999; first completely digital home loan platform in 2014; and first instant personal loan app in 2017. Indiabulls Dhani, the personal loan app, was amongst the top 10 downloaded fintech apps worldwide. Sameer has a B.Tech degree in in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT). He is also the Chairman of other major Indiabulls companies: Indiabulls Real Estate Limited and Indiabulls Ventures Limited.In the year 2008, he was declared as the “India’s youngest self-made billionaire” by Forbes.
Deepinder Goyal
We all know about the food giant, Zomato. It has been a part of everyone’s life. DeepinderGoyal an IIT Delhi alumnus is the co-founder of Zomato. He started this company as an online restaurant discovery app while still working for his job. Now Zomato is present in 20 countries, catering to millions of people, employing more than 1000 people.
Nikesh Arora
He is the former Vice Chairman of SoftBank Corp and CEO of SoftBank Internet and Media, Inc. (SIMI). He graduated from the Indian Institute of Technology (BHU) Varanasi, with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. He also holds a degree from Boston College and an MBA from Northeastern University. In the past he has worked for Deutsche Telekom, Putnam Investments and Fidelity Investments. He is currently the CEO and chairman at Palo Alto Networks.
