Hyundai Enters Commercial Taxi Segment With Prime CNG Models
Hyundai Motor India has officially entered the commercial mobility space with the launch of its Prime Taxi range, offering company-fitted CNG models designed specifically for taxi drivers and fleet operators. The lineup includes two vehicles — Prime HB, based on the Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS, and Prime SD, built on the Hyundai Aura sedan platform.
Both models focus on low operating costs, reliable performance, and passenger comfort, making them suitable for high-usage commercial applications.
Hyundai Prime Taxi Price and Booking Details
Prime HB (Hatchback): ₹5,99,900 (ex-showroom)
Prime SD (Sedan): ₹6,89,900 (ex-showroom)
Bookings are now open across India with a booking amount of ₹5,000, which can be made at any authorized Hyundai dealership.
Engine and CNG Specifications
Both Prime HB and Prime SD are powered by a 1.2-liter Kappa four-cylinder petrol engine paired with factory-fitted CNG. Hyundai says the engine is proven for durability and efficiency, making it ideal for long daily running.
The company-installed CNG system helps reduce fuel costs while improving overall earnings per kilometer for taxi operators.
