Bilaspur: Bilaspur High Court has rejected the bail plea of the three accused who cheated Rs 100 crore in the name of crypto currency. A single bench of Justice NK Vyas gave this decision. In fact, Sushil Sahu, a compounder who lost his job during the Corona period, used his cunning mind to create a dummy application in the name of investment in crypto currency. He also included a chartered accountant and a retired IAS officer in his fraud plan. This team spread its network in eight other states including Chhattisgarh and got people to invest about Rs 100 crore.
When investors demanded their principal amount along with profit from Sushil Sahu, he started evading them. Troubled by this, the investors lodged separate complaints in Rajnandgaon and other police stations. After investigation, the police arrested Sushil Sahu and both the members of his team and sent them to jail. After their arrest, all three accused filed a bail plea in the High Court. Objecting to the bail plea, advocate Ankit Singh asked the court to dismiss the bail plea. In the first hearing of the case, Justice NK Vyas had directed the DGP to form a Special Investigation Team (SIT) and investigate and submit an affidavit.
The DGP conducted a SIT investigation and submitted an affidavit, which confirmed the fraud. The court rejected the bail plea of the three accused, considering the seriousness of the case. It is clear from this decision that the court is not in favor of giving any kind of relief in such serious cases. The court’s decision in this case is a big relief for the investors who lost their hard-earned money in this fraud.
At the same time, it is also a strong message to other potential fraudsters that no kind of fraud will be tolerated in front of the law.
