Haj Committee of India has fixed advance airfare and the balance Haj amount to be paid by the selected Haj pilgrims by adopting the rate of one Saudi Riyal equal to Rs. 15.2346 for Haj- 2012, according to Executive Officer, Himachal Pradesh, State Haj Committee.
He said that pilgrims had to deposit the balance Haj amount in accordance with the accommodation category opted by them after deducting the advance amount of Rs. 51,000 already paid by them. Shia pilgrims landing at Jaddah Haj terminal and opting Johfa as Meeqat were required to pay extra SAR 100 equal to Rs. 1500 per pilgrim towards transportation charges, he added.
He advised the Haj pilgrims to deposit the balance Haj amount through Core Banking System only, across various branches of the State Bank of India, to the Haj Committee of India’s Bank Account No. ‘FEE TYPE-25’ indicating their Cover Number, Bank Reference Number, Branch Name and Code of the pay-in-slip. 31st July, 2012 has been fixed as last date for remittance of balance Haj amount and advance airfare to the Haj Committee of India, Mumbai.
