Foxconn Technology Group has announced that its highly anticipated $1.4 billion AI supercomputing facility, developed in partnership with Nvidia, is slated to be fully operational by mid-2026. The forthcoming data center will feature Taiwan’s largest and most advanced GPU cluster, marking a significant milestone in the region’s AI infrastructure development.

This expansive supercomputing center will utilize Nvidia’s latest technology, including the Nvidia Blackwell GB300 GPUs, designed specifically to handle intensive artificial intelligence workloads. With a power capacity designed to support a 27-megawatt data center, it is projected to become Asia’s first AI factory equipped with Blackwell chips.

Speaking during Foxconn’s recent Tech Day event in Taipei, Chairman Young Liu highlighted the company’s capability to produce 1,000 AI racks per week, underscoring the rapid scaling potential for AI-focused hardware manufacturing. This effort aligns with Foxconn’s broader strategy to diversify beyond electronics manufacturing into electric vehicles and AI data centers, positioning the company as a pivotal player in the global AI race.

The Foxconn-Nvidia supercomputing center is expected to serve a broad spectrum of applications, including research, industrial AI deployment, and cloud services, thereby reinforcing Taiwan’s competitiveness in the global semiconductor and artificial intelligence arenas.
