Ahmedabad – The Kutch Ranotsav has started in Tent City located in the famous white desert of Kutch, a border district of Gujarat. This Ranotsav, which attracts tourists from all over the world, will run till March 15, 2025. Tourists have started flocking to Ranotsav in Dhorda village of Kutch at the very beginning. Let us tell you that Dhordo village, where Ranotsav is organized, has also recently been awarded the World’s Best Tourist Village award by the United Nations World Tourism Organization. The border district of Kutch has now reached the world stage in terms of tourism. At the end of the year, the white desert of Kutch and Ranotsav have become the most favorite places for tourists.
Ranotsav means the confluence of art, culture, hospitality, tradition, music of Kutch. This year, for the first time, plastic has been used in Ranotsav. Also, the number of electric vehicles and bicycles has also been increased. Keeping in mind environmental protection and sustainable development, the use of plastic has been minimized in Ranotsav from this year. With the start of Diwali holidays, tourists from all over the country including Kutch and Gujarat have booked Ranotsav Tent City and according to the fixed booking, they will flock to enjoy Ranotsav this year. From the world heritage site Dholavira to the white desert of Kutch, tourists can now enjoy the world heritage Dholavira as well as the white desert through the Road to Heaven.
In such a situation, 80 to 90 percent advance booking for the month of December this year has been done. The entire structure of Kutch culture has been erected in the tent city of Ranotsav. The journey of Ranotsav started in 2009. From the vision of the country’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2009 to now 2023, Ranotsav has improved every year and every year Ranotsav is being taken to a different level. This year, changes have also been made in the tent city keeping in mind environmental protection and sustainable development.
400 tents have been set up in the tent city built during Ranotsav. During Ranotsav, tourists are coming to see the natural view of the white sheet spread far and wide on the earth. Darbari and royal tents will attract tourists in Ranotsav. Lakhs of tourists visit the White Rann every year and the Gujarat Tourism Department and the State Government earn crores of rupees. Domestic and foreign tourists coming to Ranotsav are seeing the art and culture of Kutch.
