Lucknow – : Samajwadi Party chief and former CM Akhilesh Yadav is now preparing to adopt the path of soft Hindutva to counter the Bharatiya Janata Party. The party has planned havan pujan and training in several temples.
The special thing is that in the last four elections, the SP has not been able to do any special performance. SP’s efforts are also being linked to the inauguration of the Ram temple in Ayodhya. Before the general elections, SP has chosen Devkali of Lakhimpur Kheri district for the first phase of Plan Hindutva. Devkali is also related to Mahabharata. The SP will also organize a two-day training camp in the college premises adjacent to the temple. After this the party is going to head towards Nemisharan Dham, about 100 km from Devkali. The SP will organize the second phase of training camp at this place in Sitapur district on June 9 and 10.
There are possibilities, many senior SP leaders including Akhilesh can perform Havan in Nemisharan. SP MLA Rampal Yadav said, all the leaders of the party including National President Akhilesh Yadav are going to visit Nemisharan Dham and perform Havan before the start of the training camp. Religious rituals will be performed at Chakratirtha, Lalita Devi Temple and Vyas Gaddi. The special thing is that four Lok Sabha constituencies Sitapur, Dhaurahara, Misrikh and Mohanlalganj are near Nemisharan Dham. Recently, the Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath government has planned to make religious tourism for Nemi Sharan.
The senior SP leader said, in the last year’s assembly elections, the SP got Muslim votes, but the party could not remove the BJP from power. When SP and BSP fought together in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the entire Muslim community voted for the alliance, even then we could win only 15 out of 80 seats.
Now that the Ram temple is being built in Ayodhya, a strong Hindu-Muslim polarization could harm the opposition’s chances of victory in 2024, he said. After this, SP does not want to rely only on minority votes to defeat BJP and wants all sections of the society to vote for it.
