The Ranveer Singh and Akshaye Khanna–starrer ‘Dhurandhar’ has rewritten the history of Hindi cinema. On its 33rd day at the box office, the spy thriller officially became the highest-grossing Hindi film of all time, surpassing the long-standing record held by Pushpa 2: The Rule (Hindi version).
According to box office data available up to January 7, 2026, Dhurandhar has achieved milestones never seen before in Bollywood.
Pushpa 2 Record Broken on Day 33
On its 33rd day of release, Dhurandhar collected ₹831.40 crore net in India, overtaking Pushpa 2 (Hindi), which had previously held the record at ₹830 crore. With this, Dhurandhar now stands as the highest net-grossing Hindi film in Indian cinema history.
Worldwide Box Office Nears ₹1,300 Crore
Globally, the film has crossed ₹1,250 crore and is rapidly heading toward the ₹1,300 crore mark. In the process, it has also surpassed SS Rajamouli’s RRR, which had a worldwide lifetime collection of approximately ₹1,230 crore.
Historic Feat as a Single-Language Release
One of Dhurandhar’s biggest achievements is that it reached the ₹1,000 crore milestone with a pure Hindi release, unlike other films in the elite club that benefited from multi-language, pan-India releases.
