Mumbai, December 22, 2025

Ranveer Singh–starrer ‘Dhurandhar’ has officially emerged as the biggest Hindi film of 2025, rewriting box office history with record-breaking numbers in its third week. Directed by Aditya Dhar, the espionage thriller has crossed ₹870 crore in worldwide gross collections within just 17 days, surpassing all releases this year.

With this milestone, Dhurandhar has overtaken Vicky Kaushal’s ‘Chhaava’, which earned ₹807 crore during its entire theatrical run. The achievement places Dhurandhar at the top of the list of 2025’s highest-grossing films globally.

In an unprecedented feat, Dhurandhar has become the first Hindi film ever to earn nearly ₹100 crore in its third weekend. The film collected ₹99.70 crore over the Friday–Sunday period, setting a new all-time benchmark.

Previously, this record was held by Chhaava, which earned ₹60.10 crore during its third weekend.

📊 Third Weekend Day-Wise Collection

The film showed consistent growth across all three days, a clear indicator of strong word-of-mouth:

  • Friday: ₹23.70 crore

  • Saturday: ₹35.70 crore

  • Sunday: ₹40.30 crore

Such upward momentum in the third week is considered extremely rare in Hindi cinema.

🇮🇳 India Box Office Crosses ₹600 Crore

Domestically, Dhurandhar has amassed ₹683.46 crore so far. The film earned ₹218 crore in its opening week, followed by ₹261.50 crore in week two, and nearly ₹100 crore in its third weekend alone—highlighting its sustained audience pull.

🌎 Overseas Box Office Performance

The film’s success is not limited to India. Overseas collections have surged to ₹186.15 crore, pushing the total international three-week earnings beyond ₹180 crore and confirming Dhurandhar’s global appeal.

🎬 Hollywood Competition Falls Short

Interestingly, Dhurandhar has also outperformed major Hollywood releases at the Indian box office. The latest ‘Avatar’ film, released during the same period, managed only ₹68.58 crore in its opening weekend, failing to match the momentum of the Indian blockbuster.
