Ranveer Singh’s highly anticipated action drama Dhurandhar has delivered an explosive debut at the Indian box office. The film not only posted a strong opening but also emerged as the highest Day 1 grosser of Ranveer Singh’s career, setting a new personal benchmark for the actor.
According to early estimates from Sacnilk, Dhurandhar collected ₹27 crore on its opening day, instantly placing it among the Top 5 biggest Bollywood openings of 2025.
Third-Highest Bollywood Opener of the Year
With ₹27 crore on Day 1, Dhurandhar has become the third-highest opening Bollywood film of 2025. The only films ahead of it are:
War 2 – ₹52 crore
Chhava – ₹31 crore
This puts Dhurandhar in elite company, reaffirming its status as one of the most awaited films of the year.
Ranveer Singh Records His Biggest Opening Ever
The strong debut has made Dhurandhar the biggest opening-day film of Ranveer Singh’s career, surpassing earlier hits such as:
Padmaavat
Simmba
Gully Boy
The film’s performance marks a major comeback for the star, who was aiming for a record-breaking opener.
Tere Ishq Mein Sees Sharp Decline After Dhurandhar Release
The Dhanush–Kriti Sanon starrer Tere Ishq Mein, which had been performing steadily, was hit hard by Dhurandhar’s release. On its eighth day, the film collected only ₹3.70 crore, witnessing a significant drop.
With this, the total eight-day collection stands at ₹87.35 crore.
Zootopia 2 Continues Its Run With Modest Earnings
Disney’s animated sequel Zootopia 2 is still running in Indian cinemas but is seeing limited traction. On its eighth day, the film earned just ₹75 lakh, taking its total collection to ₹12.90 crore.
