Poltava, Ukraine : The recent missile attacks by Russia on Ukraine have led to significant casualties and damage. The attacks, which targeted a military educational institution in central Ukraine, resulted in 51 deaths and over 200 injuries. The strikes also affected a nearby hospital and a Telecommunications Institute building.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed the strikes, stating that two ballistic missiles hit Poltava. He emphasized the urgent need for air defense systems and missiles to better protect Ukraine from future attacks. Zelensky has called for these resources to be provided immediately rather than being kept in reserve.

Philip Pronin, head of the military administration of the Poltava region, reported that rescue teams are working to clear rubble and search for survivors, with concerns that 18 more people might be trapped. Damage to residential buildings in the area has been significant.

Although Moscow has not yet commented on the attacks, Russian military blogger Vladimir Rozov confirmed the strike on a military school. Zelensky has ordered a comprehensive investigation into the incident and expressed gratitude for the ongoing relief efforts.
