The active caseload has crossed 3,395, signaling a noticeable upward trend in infections. Health experts and officials are closely monitoring the situation as new cases continue to surface in multiple states.
Kerala Tops Active COVID-19 Cases in India
Among all states, Kerala has reported the highest number of active COVID-19 cases, standing at 1,336. The southern state has consistently seen recurring spikes due to its dense population clusters and higher testing rates. Health departments in Kerala are intensifying contact tracing, testing, and monitoring of symptomatic patients.
Maharashtra and Delhi on High Alert
Maharashtra, which has been at the epicenter during previous waves, currently has 467 active COVID-19 cases. The state health ministry has reinstated mask advisories for hospitals and crowded public places. Authorities are also keeping a close watch on urban clusters where the virus has a higher transmission potential.
