Mumbai :The makers of the movie “72 Hoorain” expressed their strong criticism of the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) for rejecting the movie’s trailer. Ashoke Pandit, the co-producer of the movie, labeled the decision as regressive and detrimental to the artistic spirit. He expressed his concern about the lack of creative freedom and realistic filmmaking and stated that they would not take this decision lightly. They planned to approach the high court if necessary and request the intervention of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting to question the authority of the CBFC.

Sanjay Puran Singh Chauhan, the director of the movie and a two-time National Award winner, was visibly disturbed by the CBFC’s decision. He mentioned that the movie had already won a National Award and received a censor certificate, so he questioned the basis on which the trailer was rejected. Chauhan urged people to watch the movie before jumping to conclusions, emphasizing that it only presented facts and did not target any religion or hurt religious sentiments.
