New Delhi : Today Congress released its manifesto for Lok Sabha elections 2024. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and former President Rahul Gandhi released the manifesto at the All India Congress Committee headquarters in New Delhi. The party has named its manifesto as Nyaya Patra. Let us tell you, the manifesto is based on ‘Five Justices and 25 Guarantees’. These five justices are ‘Shareholder Justice’, ‘Farmers’ Justice’, ‘Women’s Justice’, ‘Labour Justice’ and ‘Youth Justice’. The manifesto also promises to provide 30 lakh government jobs.
Made these promises: 25 types of guarantees have been given in the manifesto. Kharge said that our manifesto is dedicated to the poor. He further said, ‘This manifesto of ours will be remembered as a document of justice in the political history of the country. The ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’ run under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi was focused on this. During the yatra, five pillars – Youth Justice, Farmer Justice, Women Justice, Labor Justice and Share Justice were announced. Out of these five pillars, 25 guarantees emerge and in every 25 guarantees someone benefits.
What’s in the Congress manifesto: If we talk about the big things in the Congress manifesto, it includes 30 lakh jobs in the central government, Rs 1 lakh annually to women from poor families, caste census, legal status to MSP, MNREGA wage of Rs 400. , To stop misuse of investigating agencies and changes in PMLA law have been announced. The five guarantees that the party has talked about under ‘Youth Justice’ include the promise of providing 30 lakh government jobs and giving Rs 1 lakh to the youth under the apprenticeship program for one year.
Congress has guaranteed to conduct caste census under ‘shared justice’ and abolish the 50 percent limit of reservation. The party has promised legal status to Minimum Support Price (MSP), formation of loan waiver commission and GST-free farming under ‘Kisan Nyay’. Under ‘Labour Justice’, Congress has promised to provide right to health to workers, ensure minimum wage of Rs 400 per day and urban employment guarantee. Apart from this, many promises have been made including giving one lakh rupees per year to women from poor families under ‘Mahalakshmi’ guarantee under ‘Nari Nyaya’.
The Congress Party manifesto claims that the party will ensure that like every citizen, minorities too have freedom of choice of clothing, food, language and personal laws. We will encourage reform of personal laws. Congress says that such reform should be done with the participation and consent of the communities concerned.
Manifesto Committee Chairman P Chidambaram said, ‘We will immediately restore full statehood to Jammu and Kashmir. We will amend the Sixth Schedule of the Constitution to include the tribal areas of Ladakh. Engagement with Pakistan fundamentally depends on its willingness and ability to end cross-border terrorism.
He further said, ‘Congress will scrap the Agneepath scheme and return to normal recruitment processes followed by the Army, Navy and Air Force which will guarantee economic and social security for our soldiers.’
