Committee would redress the grievances of the farmer

Haryana Government has decided to constitute 40 mandi level Grievances Redressal Committees for procurement of Bajra under Bhawantar Bharpayee Scheme during Kharif Marketing season 2018-19 under the chairmanship of IAS or HCS officers concerned.

While stating this here today, an official spokesman said that the Committee would redress the grievances of the farmers in case of any dispute regarding specifications, payments and any other procurement related issues and would ensure smooth procurement of Bajra as per the policy guidelines issued by the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department.

He said that the officers would remain deputed for the period from October 1, 2018 to November 15, 2018. He said that the other members of the Committee would be Senior Officer of Agriculture Department, Secretary or Assistant Secretary of the Market Committee of the mandi and one representative from the procurement agencies, Food Department not below the rank of Manager or Assistant Food Supplies Officer.
