Haridwar-Rishikesh : Preparations for the Chardham Yatra have been completed by the Tourism Department. For this, offline registrations will also be started in Haridwar and Rishikesh from 7 am to 7 pm from Wednesday. Six counters have also been set up in Dharmanagari for offline registration. On these, registration of 500 pilgrims will be done for each Dham. Chardham Yatra will start in Uttarakhand from May 10 with the opening of the doors of Gangotri and Yamunotri. However, the Uttarakhand government has provided the facility of online registration for Chardham pilgrims. Due to this, the devotees traveling to Uttarakhand are registering from home, but the passengers entering the state are also given the facility of offline registration at various places.

For this, registration counters are opened by the department. In this, six counters have been opened in the office premises of the Tourism Department in Dharmanagari also. Registration will be done at the counters for booking five hundred slots for pilgrims each for Badrinath, Kedarnath, Yamunotri and Gangotri Dham. For registration at the centres, arrangements have been made for internet facility, light, electricity as well as chairs for the passengers to sit, air and cold water.

Vehicles carrying Char Dham pilgrims will be given green cards from the ARTO office premises in Roshnabad. A special counter has been created by the department for making green cards. With this, drivers can easily get green cards for Chardham Yatra. All preparations for offline registration have been completed. Registrations will start from Wednesday. If the number of slots given falls short, then in case of emergency, more slots will be arranged for registration. So that every passenger can be registered.
