Amidst the fear of cracks in Joshimath, the Uttarakhand government has announced the date of this year’s Chardham Yatra. On 22 April, on the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya, the journey of Chardham will start from 22 April. On this day the doors of Gangotri and Yamunotri will be opened. The doors of Kedarnath and Badrinath Dham are also ready to be opened for the devotees. CM Pushkar Dhami has expressed confidence that the impact of the Joshimath issue will not be seen on the yatra.

The portals of Kedarnath Dham will open for devotees from April 25 this year. Darshan can be had from 6.20 am to Baba’s door in Kedarnath temple. At the same time, the opening of the doors of Badrinath Dham has already been announced.

This year, on April 27, the doors will be opened at 7.10 am. The distance from Badrinath to Joshimath is about 40 km, where cracks have appeared in the land and houses. This time the tourism department will make online registration for Chardham Yatra. Those who will not be registered, they may have to face trouble on the way of travel. The registration of the pilgrims will be checked at three places on the Yatra route. There will be online registration on the website of the tourism department. Like last year, this time the option of offline registration will not be given.

A meeting was held in the secretariat under the chairmanship of Transport Secretary Arvind Singh Hyanki regarding Chardham Yatra preparations.
