The Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested an SSE(C&W), NF Railway, Dibrugarh Coaching Depot, Tinsukia Division(Assam) for demanding & accepting an alleged bribe of Rs. One Lakh from the complainant.
A case was registered on a complaint against an SSE(C&W), NF Railway, Dibrugarh Coaching Depot, Tinsukia Division on the allegations of demanding a bribe from the complainant for clearing the pending Bills in respect of Contract Agreement relating to work of Mechanized Railway Coach Cleaning at Coach Cleaning Depot, NF Railway, Dibrugarh. CBI laid a trap and caught the accused red-handed while demanding & accepting the bribe of Rs.One Lakh from the complainant. Searches were conduced at the residential & official premises of acused which led to recovery of some incriminating documents.
The arrested accused will be produced today before the Competent Court.
