Subhash Joshi, IPS, Director General, Border Security Force laid the foundation stone of Frontier & Sector Headquarter (KLP) of Border Security Force at Greater Noida, Plot No 39, Near Knowledge Park-5. Government of Uttar Pradesh provided nearly 20 Acres land for establishment of Border Security Force Camp
Border Security Force Camp of Greater Noida is first Camp in Delhi NCR. However, Border Security Force has already established Camp at Bareilly, Lucknow and Mathura in Uttar Pradesh for Reserve Battalion. After establishment of Border Security Force Camp at Greater Noida, personnel belongs to West Uttar Pradesh serving in Border Security Force and retired personnel will get benefits i.e Residential accommodation, Medical, School, Canteen facilities etc.
Shri Subhash Joshi, IPS, Director General, BSF also said that no International Border in Uttar Pradesh and no Border Security Force personnel deployed for operational duties in UP. Moreover, Central Govt. has approved for establishing a Border Security Force Camp at Greater Noida for Frontier and Sector Headquarter for more beneficial to approx Thirty Six Thousand under service and retired personnel belonging to Uttar Pradesh State.
During the ceremony Shri Ashok Kumar, IPS, (IG Adm), said that Border Security Force has increased its presence in hinterland in last few years. The BSF has an all India character and is represented by people from all corners of the country. But till recently BSF presence was limited to states on Indo-Pak and Indo-Bangladesh Borders. Due to continuous deployment in remote border areas, the BSF personnel hardly get time to serve near their home towns. In order to overcome this problem, concept of hinterland KLPs was introduced by BSF with the approval of Government of India.
Subhash Joshi, IPS, Director General, Border Security Force also informed that development of this camp will be completed in next two years itself. Construction of Administrative Block, Jawan Barrack, Officer & Subordinate Officer Mess, Hospital and Residential accommodation also proposed in this Camp. After establishment of Border Security Force Camp at Greater Noida, more chances for employment of young youths and also developed the Region
