Book Fair and Christmas Carnival, a 10 days long event started today at parade ground,Sector-17 Chandigarh. Shri Om Parkash, Agriculture Minister, Haryana was the Chief Guest and inaugurated the event. On this occasion Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges, Dr. Anshu Kataria, Editor, Amar Ujala, Mr. Sanjay Abhigyan and many more renowned personalities from Education sector were present. Aryans Group of Colleges, Chandigarh is the main partner for this event.
One student won the lucky tablet on the first day of Carnival. Aryans has also announced another tablet and scholarship worth Rs 1.25 Lakh each for two meritorious students who will be shortlisted on merit cum means basis. The winners for this will be announced on the closing ceremony of the event i.e on 28thDecember. Speaking on the occasion Chief Guest praised the hard work made by every student during their study period. He said that books are the best friends of the students and they are always a source of motivation to them. They always guide and inspire towards building their future.
It is to be mentioned that in this 10 days long event more than 100 stalls are being set up. Book stalls include sections like adventure, housekeeping, hospitality, media, novels and so on. Other than this cultural performances, food courts and stalls from various states displaying their culture will be the main attractions.
