BJP has released the first list of 160 candidates for the Gujarat Legislative Assembly elections. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel will contest from his current assembly constituency Ghatlodiya. Rivaba Jadeja, wife of Indian cricketer Ravindra Jadeja, has been fielded from Jamnagar North and Hardik Patel from Viramgam. Union Minister Bhupendra Yadav announced the names of BJP candidates in the presence of Gujarat BJP state president CR Patil, Union ministers Mansukh Mandaviya and Anil Baluni at the BJP national headquarters. In the first list of BJP, out of the 89 assembly seats to be voted on December 1 under the first phase, 84 seats and out of the 93 seats which are to be voted on December 5 under the second phase, 76 seats i.e. BJP in total. has announced the names of 160 candidates in its first list.
Let us tell you that on Wednesday, in the marathon meeting of BJP Central Election Committee chaired by BJP National President JP Nadda and in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the party headquarters, all 182 seats of Gujarat Assembly were discussed. It is being told that in the marathon meeting held in the presence of Prime Minister Modi, the name of the candidate on each seat was discussed from all aspects.
After the meeting of the Central Election Committee was over on Wednesday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah also held a separate meeting with the Chief Minister of Gujarat and the Gujarat BJP State President.

Voting in Gujarat is to be held in two phases on December 1 and December 5. Polling is to be held on 89 assembly seats in the state on December 1 and 93 on December 5. The last date for nominations for 89 assembly constituencies in the first phase of elections in the state is November 14 and November 17 is the last date for nominations for the 93 assembly seats to be held in the second phase on December 5.
