More then two decade old organization Bhumika Rangmanch (a regd. Society) staged its new play Huzure Alla on 18th February 2021 at Akshara Theatre, New Delhi. Hazure Alla play is an adaptation of Molier’s play Scorpio.The story revolves around Rahmat who is an arrogant, pompous man. For him nothing is impossible. He easily manipulates the situation in his favour. Munir and Afzal fall in love with Razia and Neeli but they don’t have any money to entertain their beloveds. Fathers of both Munir and Afzal plan the marriage for their respective sons. But Munir and Afzal want to marry Razia and Neeli. Here Rahmat plays a key role to manipulate their fathers and he manages to come up with enough money from their parents to make sure that the young couples get to stay married. But, no one knows who Razia and Nili are. In the end everything is sought out and the situation turns in favour of both fathers and sons. One hour 10 minutes play Huaure Alla play is a complete entertainment. Satish Kumar played Rahmat and justified the character. Ishita, Ritika, Sumit, Devinder, Sunil, Satyam played different characters and all justified their roles. Lights and Music is done by Rahul.
The Play is Directed by Gulshan Walia, Senior graduate from NSD. After completing graduation from Punjab university he joined Indian Theatre (Theatre Department of punjab University) and then joined NSD, New Delhi for three years.
A versatile actor, acted in many ad films, TV shows films etc, also completed his one year fellowship project on “Body as an expressive Medium” from NSD conducted a number of theatre workshops / training programs in different parts of the country for PSU’s and other institutes. Apart from theatre, he also produced and directed many serials, tele-films, documentaries, corporate films, ad films, radio programs under the banner of GW films for Doordarshan and different Ministries.
He is also a visiting faculty to CCRT, New Delhi (Centre for Cultural Resources and Training, New Delhi) and NSD Extension Program and Faculty for National Academy of Broadcasting and Multimedia (The Apex Training Institution of Prasar Bharti).
