Bharat Jodo Yatra: Know why Rahul Gandhi reprimanded journalists saying that using this word insulted them

Voting for the Congress President’s election is to be held on October 17. Senior leaders Mallikarjun Kharge and Shashi Tharoor have entered the fray. Rahul Gandhi said on the charge of remote control of the future president Gandhi family, both are strong candidates and the use of the word remote control for them is an insult to both the candidates.

However, he also refused to give any opinion on the organization elections. According to him, since the election process is going on, it is not right to have an opinion on it.

Rahul Gandhi said, “Both are strong candidates, I don’t think either of them will have remote control and using the word remote control for them is an insult to both the candidates.”

However, when he was asked the question of not contesting the election for the post of President himself, he said that, in 2019, I had written a letter, I have the answer in it.

Actually, there will be a break of India Jodo Yatra on 17 October and 40 PCC Delegates are involved in the India Jodo Yatra. For these, polling booths will be set up at the camp site itself. This is where Rahul Gandhi and other India Jodo travelers will vote.

Congress leader Jairam Ramesh has made it clear that only ID card is needed for voting and there are 40 Bharat Jodi Yatri PCC delegates and arrangements have been made for their voting in the election of Congress President in the travel camp itself. Because there will be a break of travel on October 17.

The notification for the election of the President has been issued on 22nd September. The process of filing the form will continue till September 30. That is, whoever wants to contest for the post of President can file a nomination. The Central Election Authority, headed by senior party leader Madhusudan Mistry, will oversee the voting.

The last date for withdrawal of nominations is October 8. Voting will take place on October 17, while the election results will be declared on October 19. PLC/GT
